I just love going to the beach, its the most relaxing to me. I recently traveled to the Dominican Republic. Specifically we stayed at the Bávaro Princess All Suites Resort Spa & Casino All Inclusive, Punta Cana. I highly recommend it. An all inclusive is the way to go, in my opinion. Upon arrival we were greeted and swept off to the VIP area, where drinks, small plates, and private staff were waiting for us. It was a treat! This is a very large resort, that you catch the “little” shuttle throughout the grounds to get where you want to go. After our check in, we unpacked the bags to our room. I love it when the staff shows their talent in making swans out of a wash cloth, or small towel and sprinkle rose petals all around that make you feel that special. I immediately took out my camera and started taking photos before we settled in. It’s very humid, so you might as well not try to keep your hair perfect. Just take a hat and hair ties. Next time I will do this! The beach was perfect, with the rich sand, blue ocean, and a cocktail in my hand. I could go on and on about the days we spent on the beach, our nights were filled with dining, music, dancing, and a lot of laughter. They have a drink there called “Mama Juana”. Look it up, its a thing. It’s a concoction that’s made by combining rum red wine and honey, and then allowing that mixture to soak with tree bark and herbs. Mama Juana promises those who consume it get incredible benefits, such as a sexual potency, and was given the nickname of “liquid Viagra” . Personally, I didn’t feel any special affects! But do indulge and give it a try when you visit!

I’ll give you a couple of tips that were also passed onto me about traveling to the Dominican. Obviously take a lot of sunscreen. Include in that bag of yours some bug spray, and above all don’t forget to take Imodium. I don’t mean Pepto either. Seriously, I-M-O-D-I-U-M ! A little over half way of the trip, a couple friends traveling with us, became very sick. I really couldn’t tell you if it was of something they ate or drank. They were so ill, we were scared they wouldn’t be able to make the flight home. I handed out all my Imodium. Because I was forewarned about getting some “bug” there, I took one of these daily even if I felt the slightest twinge in my stomach. I stayed away from creamy drinks. Remember I said it was humid there, and its hot. Food and drinks are outside in the air. I know even the best resorts try to have the best accommodation’s but bacteria breeds! I also brushed my teeth with bottled water. You can call me paranoid, but I listened to my friends tips, and thankfully came home with sunset photos, a great tan, and lots of souvenirs. It’s a place worth visiting!
